Addie Pridemore is a senior at the University of Alabama, majoring in Dance with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. Originally from Charleston, SC, she began dancing at the age of two. At her home studio, Tapio School of Dance, Addie trained in a variety of styles and competed with her team for 14 years. She also gained valuable experience teaching and choreographing for younger students, both at Tapio and later in Tuscaloosa. In addition, she has had the privilege of assisting Brittany Parks at NRG Dance Convention for several years.
During her time at UA, Addie has performed in every Dance Alabama! show and choreographed for select performances. She currently works at a local studio with the preschool program and competition team, and this is her second season on staff with Imagine Dance Challenge. Looking ahead, she hopes to pursue a career in arts management with the goal of working for a dance company, while continuing to share her love of dance through teaching. Last year, Addie served as Treasurer for Dance Alabama!, where one of her favorite experiences was working as Executive Director for the annual #SICKMOVES show. She loved connecting with the Tuscaloosa community and sharing her passion for dance. Dance Alabama! has truly become her home at UA, and she is grateful for the friendships and memories she has made through the organization. This year, she is honored to serve as Vice President and is excited to give back to a group that has given her so much. |
