       Ellie Congemi is a Senior double majoring in Dance and Public Relations. She is from New Orleans, Louisiana and began her dance training at the age of two. She attended Off Broadway Dance Studio, where she began competing at the age of nine. Since graduating, Ellie has consistently returned to Off Broadway to Ellie Congemi is a senior double majoring in Dance and Public Relations at The University of Alabama. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, she began dancing at the age of two and grew up training at Off Broadway Dance Studio, where she started competing at nine. Since graduating high school, Ellie has returned to Off Broadway to teach classes and set choreography.

    At UA, Ellie has performed in a wide range of productions, including Dance Alabama!, #SICKMOVES, Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre, Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase, and the Dance Alabama Film Festival. She has also presented her own choreography in several concerts. Leading up to this year, Ellie served as Treasurer and Vice President on the Dance Alabama! Executive Board, where she directed the second annual #SICKMOVES Concert as well as two Dance Alabama! Concerts. 

      When she is not danicng, Ellie is an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she has held leadership roles on the Philanthropy Committee, Freshman Recruitment Team, and Recruitment Design Committee. She is also a certified reformer pilates instructor at BASH Reformer Pilates and works for Believe National Talent Competition, traveling to regional and national events throughout the season.

     Ellie’s most meaningful experiences at UA have come from her involvement with Dance Alabama!, which has shaped her artistry, leadership, and community. She is honored to serve as this year’s President and Artistic Director for an organization that means so much to her and gives dancers on campus endless opportunities.
