Social Media Coordinator

          Isa Hanson is a sophomore at UA double majoring in Dance and Creative Media. She is from Florence, AL and attended Florence High School prior to UA. Her highschool provided the exceptional opportunity of hosting its own contemporary company, FAFA Dance Company, in which she was a four year member, and served as the Treasurer, Social Media Manager, and Primary Ambassador before graduating. With this company, she was able to train nationally, having visited Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Nashville to train and perform. This included extensive training in places such as Millenium LA and Nashville, Playground LA, Steps on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center. Notably, her own choreographic work was presented at the National High School Dance Festival hosted at Point Park University, as well as televised. Isa also graduated with her Dance Honors, and is very grateful of her highschool dance experience.

          Currently at UA, Isa is a dedicated member of her dance community. She performed in both the spring and fall semester shows of DA! her freshman year, as well as the department’s first ever Emerging Choreographers’ Showcase last spring. She is also a member of the Yonder Contemporary Dance Company that will perform internationally in Edinburgh, Scotland this summer. 

          Isa is beyond honored to serve as Social Media Coordinator for Dance Alabama! this year. She admires the family built by this organization, and is excited to continue building it!
