Philanthropy chair
Kaitlin Marks is a sophomore psychology major with an Italian and nutrition minor. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where she began dancing at the age of 9 at various dance studios in the Austin area. During her junior and senior years of high school, Kaitlin was a founding member of Bhumn Arts Ensemble under the direction of Cheryl Copeland, focusing on commercial and concert work. There, she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Peter Chu, Cindy Welik Salgado, Sidra Bell, Carlos R. A. Jones, and Christopher Ralph.
Kaitlin has also been blessed with various leadership positions and experience, including being an officer on her high school's dance team for two years, and this past summer, Kaitlin worked for Kinderdance Austin, teaching kids ages 2-8 and spreading her love of dance. Outside[of Dance Alabama! Kaitlin is involved with her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, where she serves as assistant Dance Captain on the spirt team. As Kaitlin enters her sophomore year, she is filled with anticipation for the upcoming productions of Dance Alabama! Having participated in both the fall and spring productions during her freshman year, she is eager to create more unforgettable memories. Her favorite memory from DA! was from the show this past spring: being with her friends warming up backstage before places and opening a fantastic show! |
