You can catch her dancing in “Dead Man’s Party” at Six Flags over Georgia’s Fright Fest. She has loved learning this show and can’t wait to bring it to the world starting September 17th. Emma says that “Dance Alabama! was the best part of my college experience and I owe so much of my growth as a dancer and choreographer to this organization.”
During her time at UA, Lana Fuqua was involved in organizations such as Dance Ambassadors, UATD DEI Committee, Yonder, DA!, and DHSA, where she received a number of university and dance department awards, including the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Premiere Award. During her tenure as a student, she also interned with BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance and Atlanta Ballet. Upon graduating this past May, she moved to New York City to be fully immersed in the professional dance and arts administration industries. Lana currently works as a freelance dancer, in addition to serving as the Program Coordinator and Registrar for the Children’s & Youth Ballet Programs at Joffrey Ballet School. Lana loved seeing some fellow DA! members during their summer internships at Joffrey and is thankful for the experiences that the organization has provided her. From choreographing to performing and setting lights, Lana feels fully prepared to tackle any obstacle and cannot wait to see what lies on the path ahead!
